
Iconfidant SSH v2.0.5 Provides Target Key Generation
Release Allows Allowing Easier Configuration of Embedded Devices
West Des Moines, IA (January 20, 2005) – Icon Labs (www.icon-labs.com) a leading provider of embedded networking solutions, today announced the availability of Iconfidant™ SSH version 2.0.5 for VxWorks and embedded Linux with support for key generation on the target device.
“Target side key generation provides greater flexibility for configuration of devices in the field”, said Alan Grau, president of Icon Labs. “Equipment manufacturers are rolling out security services to legacy devices already deployed, and need the flexibility to support key generation for each device as part of the software upgrade in the field.”
Iconfidant embedded SSH is available now and supports VxWorks, embedded Linux and Solaris operating systems. Sample programs providing integration with WindManage™ CLI (formerly RapidControl CLI) and the VxWorks shell are provided. Iconfidant provides SSH client and server support along with support for SFTP.
